The Ethno Mobility program is one of the largest worldwide scholarship programs for ๐ณ๐ผ๐น๐ธ, ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฑ, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐บ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ages 30 and below, supporting the participation of young musicians at eligible Ethno camps by covering for the expenses of travel and participation fees. Visas and covid tests may additionally be covered, where mandated. Ethno Mobility grant scholarships aim to provide the opportunity to attend an Ethno to musicians who would not be able to do so without ๐ณ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐, even in the case of an Ethno in close geographical proximity. If you already received a scholarship from Ethno Mobility to travel to an Ethno in the past in the period 2019-2022, you are NOT eligible to apply for this call. 2. ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ โ Gender balance, cultural balance, balance between musical instruments and styles โ this balance is maintained by the JMI Head Office coordinating Mobility placements with all Ethnos. This is why ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ด๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐๐ต๐ป๐ผ: if you are selected, Ethno Mobility will contact you with a placement offer that matches your musical profile and available dates. ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ข๐ฆ When attaching links of videos in support of your application, please bear in mind that the reviewers are looking to understand you and your music. Therefore ๐๐ฝ๐น๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ง ๐ข๐ก๐ ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ผ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ข๐ก๐๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ด, for max. 2-3 mins duration. This can be a video that you shoot on your mobile phone, as long as you are clearly seen playing/singing and the audio is clear as well. Videos of orchestras and groups in which you participate are welcome, but as an ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ผ and NOT the main one. Audio files of only you playing can also be attached, again as an ADDED resource, NOT the main one. We accept videos made on cellphone cameras, provided the person is clearly visible and the audio is of an acceptable quality, with minimal background noise. Therefore, please ensure that you attach AT LEAST ONE VIDEO of ONLY YOU playing or singing (max 2-3 mins). A scan of your passport page with your personal details clearly visible (required); both passports if you are a dual citizen (required). 2. A clear scan of your Residence Permit (if applicable). 3. A clear scan or PDF of your Covid vaccination certificate (if applicable). 4. A recent photo of yourself, preferably with your instrument. 5. A close-up photo of yourself. 6. If you are under the age of 18 on the date of application, a consent letter signed by your parent(s) or legal guardian(s) that is valid until your 18th birthday (required, if applicable). You will need to attach all applicable supporting documents for the form to be considered complete and successfully submitted.
