The Ethno Mobility program is one of the largest worldwide scholarship programs for ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—น๐—ธ, ๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—น๐—ฑ, ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—บ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜€ ages 30 and below, supporting the participation of young musicians at eligible Ethno camps by covering for the expenses of travel, visas and participation fees. Ethno Mobility scholarships aim to provide the opportunity to attend an Ethno to musicians who would not be able to do so without ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐˜€๐˜‚๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜, even in the case of an Ethno in close geographical proximity. If you are a musician ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐˜‚๐—ฝ ๐˜๐—ผ (and including) ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฌ, and you are looking for a scholarship to participate at an Ethno, you have come to the right place! ๐— ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜€ ๐—ณ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—น๐—น๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜€ (either passport holders or legal residents) ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—น๐˜†: Australia, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Cambodia, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Macedonia, Malawi, Mozambique, New Zealand, Norway, State Of Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Solomon Islands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda. Citizens from the United States of America are eligible to apply. Applications from legal residents in the above countries will be vetted for conformance with grant criteria. Passport holders from the eligible countries above but living elsewhere can apply โ€” upload proof of your residence in the country you are applying from. The Ethno Mobility grant program is based on two important criteria: 1. ๐—œ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—น๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† โ€” In order to offer a Mobility scholarship to the greatest number of young musicians possible, ๐˜€๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—น๐˜† ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ป. If you already received a scholarship from Ethno Mobility to travel to an Ethno in the past, you are not eligible to apply this call. 2. ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ โ€” Gender balance, cultural balance, balance between musical instruments and styles. This balance is maintained by the JMI Head Office coordinating Mobility placements with all Ethnos. This is why ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€ ๐—ฑ๐—ผ ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜ ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—˜๐˜๐—ต๐—ป๐—ผ: if you are selected, Ethno Mobility will contact you with a placement offer that matches your musical profile. When attaching links of videos in support of your application, please bear in mind that the reviewers are looking to understand you and your music. This can be a video that you shoot now on your mobile phone, as long as you are clearly seen playing/singing and the audio is clear as well. Videos of orchestras and groups in which you participate are welcome, but as an additional video and not the main one. Audio files of only you playing can also be attached, again as an additional resource. An audio file is not a substitute for a video file (except in exceptional cases), therefore please ensure that you attach at least one video of only you playing or singing (max 2-3 mins).
