enCORE Classical 2024 is an international programme for young musicians that explores new ways in classical music, equipping participants with the skills to meet their professional futures head-on. In this edition of enCORE Classical, we focus on new performance modalities and what it means to build your own audience in modern times. We will offer up to 30 young musicians from across the globe, the opportunity to catalyse their careers through an immersive and engaging international training experience taking place in Budapest, Hungary from the 26th to the 30th of June. During 3 full workshop days, participants between the ages of 18 to 30 will embark on a journey of self-discovery, collaboration, and artistic exploration. Guided by industry experts, participants will delve into the art of creating innovative concert experiences, mastering audience engagement and outreach techniques, and developing effective marketing and communications strategies. At enCORE Classical 2024, participants are expected to each bring 1-2 pieces to work on: you may apply as a soloist or ensemble of up to four people. Throughout the training, you will workshop your piece(s), exploring new formats and ideas under the guidance of our international producers who will help you explore new ways of thinking and being. enCORE Classical isn't just about the music - it's about the people. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with fellow musicians from around the globe building friendships, and networks that transcend borders and boundaries. Participant Profile & Requiements: - Age: 18 to 30 years old. - You may apply as a soloist or ensemble (max 4 people). - Performance: One or more pieces, totalling no more than 8 minutes. - Language: All sessions will be held in English, thus you must have a good understanding of the language. - Profile: Classically trained musicians considering a professional career. - Availability: Must be available for at least 1 digital preparatory session before the event. Price + Conditions: Participation Fee: 250€ Includes 3 nights accommodation and food. Participants are responsible for their own visas, insurance, and instrument insurance (where needed). Scholarships: Limited scholarships are available, offering travel reimbursements (of up to 250€ for Europeans and 500€ for internationals) and covering all costs related to accommodation, meals and participation.
