The Ethno Mobility program is one of the largest worldwide scholarship programs for folk, world, and traditional musicians, which supports the participation of young musicians at eligible Ethno camps. Ethnos currently covered under the Mobility Program are (in alphabetical order): Algeria, Australia, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Macedonia, Malawi, Mozambique, New Zealand, Norway, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Solomon Islands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda and the United States of America. If you are a musician and a US citizen, you have come to the right place! You need to apply here, in order to participate in the Ethno Mobility 2021. You should be between 16-30 years of age and have a US passport valid at least six months beyond the application date and with at least four blank pages. Musicians from eligible countries outside of the United States of America can apply through the Open Call: https://mubazar.com/en/opportunity/ethno-mobility-2021-open-call Before you begin, please make sure you have readily available: 1. A clear scan of your passport page with your personal details visible (required). A clear scan of your second passport page (if applicable, for dual nationals) with your personal details visible. 2. A recent photo of yourself, preferably with your instrument (required). 3. A close-up photo of yourself (optional). 4. If you are under the age of 18 on the date of application, a consent letter signed by your parent(s) or legal guardian(s) that is valid until your 18th birthday (required, if applicable). You will need to attach all applicable supporting documents for the form to be considered complete and successfully submitted. Please note – by filling this application, you are agreeing to adhere to the Covid rules and guidelines from the CDC, the US government, the country of departure and your home country. When attaching links of videos in support of your application, please bear in mind that the reviewers are looking to understand you and your music. Therefore upload at least ONE video of ONLY you playing or singing, for max 2-3 mins duration. This can be a video that you shoot now on your mobile phone, as long as you are clearly seen playing/singing and the audio is clear as well. Videos of orchestras and groups in which you participate are welcome, as an addition. Audio files of only you playing can also be attached, as an additional resource.
